An unfortunate typo in Ian Nathan's review of Ridley Scott: A Retrospective (FT409p63) identifies the screenwriter of the film "Alien" as "Dan O'Cannon" rather than Dan O'Bannon, who also co-authored and starred in John Carpenter's first film, "Dark Star," which they made as students at the University of Southern California. O'Bannon also co-authored "Total Recall," "Blue Thunder," "Lifeforce," and "Heavy Metal," and directed "The Return of the Living Dead."
